Science Teacher

Position Description:

Middle School Science Teacher

Position Description:

We are searching for a Science Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. This science teacher will have classes for 8th and 9th grade science with a scientific inquiry curricular theme. The specific content type will be determined by the hired teacher’s area of expertise and interest (physical, biological, etc.), and, at times, electives of their choosing. This may include honors and regular level instruction and the ability to run related labs. There is some flexibility in courses taught by this instructor depending on areas of expertise, including physical science, inquiry science and other related science courses. The teacher will coordinate with the high school science program and may have the flexibility to teach an upperslevel clas, as well.

School Counselor

Position Description:

This position is responsible for providing support and guidance to students, families, teachers, and staff and addressing systemic social and emotional issues that arise in the community. All faculty/staff are expected to work towards Wye River Upper School's mission.

American Sign Language Teacher, Part-time

Position Description:

We are searching for a part-time American Sign Language Teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. This course has the option of being taught from a remote location or on-site. This teacher will have one class of introductory students, American Sign Language 1 with the goal of adding additional classes during the 2023-2024 school year as we build this new addition to our school program.

Substitute Teachers

Wye River Upper School seeks qualified substitute teachers in a variety of subject areas. Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree and pass a criminal background check. Competitive hourly pay.
