Join us Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 5–7 p.m.

to celebrate the 100th birthday of the Historic Centreville Armory

with a BBQ dinner, live music, and dinner.

Tickets for the event include:

pit beef, chicken, sides, beer, and wine,

and music entertainment by The Blues-Keepers Band.

All proceeds benefit the Wye River Upper School Armory Fund.

Did you know?

Facts about the Armory: 

  • Wye River purchased the armory in 2010, renovated and opened the building to students in the fall of 2014.

  • The campaign title, "Building Great Minds, Saving Great Spaces," is significant because the preservation of the Armory was crucial to the school. The Maryland Historical Trust assisted in preserving historic aspects of the building, such as some of the floors and windows.

  • The Armory was built in1925 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. 

  • The Armory was home to Company K, 1st Maryland Regiment, and hosted numerous local community social events.
