Community is at the heart of everything we do.

Our small school environment allows students to build meaningful relationships with teachers, classmates, and mentors while developing confidence in who they are and what they can accomplish.

The WRUS community extends beyond our students and teachers. Families, alumni, and community partners all play an important role in creating the welcoming environment that makes our school special.We believe strong connections between school and home help students feel supported throughout their educational journey. Our community works together to celebrate successes, encourage growth, and help students prepare for their future.

    A beloved Wye River Upper School tradition! What began as a small Thanksgiving dinner has become a special day of pie, friendship, and community. Students and faculty bring pies to share, then gather together at the end of the day to enjoy a slice and celebrate the start of Thanksgiving break.
