Nicole Sophocles
Head of School
A WRUS founding teacher, Nicole holds a BS degree from the University of Miami, an M.Ed. degree from the University of Maryland, a certificate in Independent School Leadership from Johns Hopkins University, and a teaching certificate in biology. She has more than 20 years of experience in formal teaching, outdoor education, and school leadership. Residing in Annapolis with her three children and husband (along with their Belgian Malinois and a guinea pig), Nicole squeezes in time for travel, fitness activities, and the beach when she is not overseeing all things WRUS.

Angie Marsh brings over 20 years of experience in Business Management and Marketing, and holds an Associate Degree in Business. She lives in Centreville with her husband, their three sons, and their dog, Leo. When she’s not working, you’ll likely find Angie on the sidelines of a sports field cheering on her boys. She enjoys spending time outdoors, vacationing with her family, and embracing every moment of their active lifestyle
