At Wye River, we start early preparing students for life after they graduate. Our college counselor begins working with students in 9th grade. Career planning is integrated into the curriculum. Gaining acceptance to college is a Wye River graduation requirement, and we work with students and their families to find the right college fit.

The best proof of the success of a Wye River education is the lives of our graduates, who leave here with the skills, motivation, self-awareness, resilience, and confidence they need to succeed—in college, and in life.

Building Successful, Fulfilling Lives

We are a young school—our oldest graduates are still in their 20s—and it’s inspiring to watch their careers unfold. Our graduates work with AmeriCorps and join the Coast Guard. They work in law enforcement, health care, computers, music, and theater. One started his own photography business. Another is in veterinary school. It makes perfect sense that the diverse and eclectic students we attract would lead diverse and eclectic lives after they graduate.
