Community Outreach

We believe strongly in the value of service to the community and our curriculum and program reflects that value. We require all students to complete 75 hours of community service and we offer two to three all-school service days each year. Partnering with local and regional non-profits, our students and staff engage in a variety of service. While volunteering, our students gain real skills and insight into their greater communities.

Some of the organizations our students have provided service to over the years include:

  • Ongoing service to the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center (CBEC) in Grasonville, Maryland
  • Ongoing service to Wye Island Natural Resource Management Area
  • Pickering Creek Audubon Center
  • Local Homeless Shelters
  • Maryland Food Bank
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Philabundance in Philadelphia, PA
  • Doulos Discovery School in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic
  • Post Katrina cleanup and restoration Waveland, Mississippi
  • Corsica Hills Nursing Home
