Apply to Wye
We want your great mind!
At Wye River Upper School we offer rolling admissions. Families are invited to complete an online application for their student at any time of year. For students transferring mid-year, we issue credit based on prior transcripts, and tuition is prorated based on student date of entry. For students applying for the following school year, Wye River encourages a soft deadline of February 1 (in the year prior) for best consideration. The following steps will help guide you through the admissions process. Wye River Upper School encourages applications from and admits students of any racial, ethnic or religious background. Its programs and policies are applied with equal consideration to all of its applicants and students. If you have any questions please contact Nicole Sophocles.

Apply to Wye! Click on this link to complete the online application. You will be prompted to create a login or retrieve your information (if you completed the Admissions Inquiry Form) so you can save the application while in process. In addition to the application you will be prompted to complete the following sections, which are all submitted or accessed online:
A. Math Teacher Recommendation, and Language Arts Teacher Recommendation. These two forms will be emailed to the appropriate teachers through the system at your request. Teachers will then have the chance to submit them directly to the school online.
B. Transcript Release - This form will be downloaded within the software and delivered to the appropriate school personnel who should mail or email transcripts and other pertinent school records such as an I.E.P. or 504 plan directly to Wye River Upper School.
C. Diagnostic testing - We require documentation of abilities, strengths and needs through Psych-Ed testing which may be uploaded directly to the application online. If your student has not completed testing within the last three years or if you are in need of referrals, please contact our Admissions Office at 410-758-2922, or email.
D. Application fee of $75 (non-refundable). Fee will be submitted at the completion of the Online Application.
E. Bring your student for a shadow day. Email to schedule.
4. The admissions team will evaluate completed applications, make an admissions decision, and inform you of our decision.
5. Those applying for financial aid should complete forms through Financial Aid for Schools Tuition (FAST). Families can begin the financial aid forms at any time but financial aid decisions will not be made until after the application is complete and a student has been accepted. See our tuition and financial aid page for more info.
6. An enrollment contract is sent. All responsible parties should review, sign and return the contract with deposit within the time frame indicated on the contract. As part of enrollment, students and families should also read and review the WRUS Student and Family Handbook.
Wye River Upper School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, nationality or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, employment policies, financial aid programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
