About Us

Wye River Upper School is a non-profit, college-preparatory, independent high school for grades 9-12. We serve bright students challenged by ADHD, dyslexia, and other unique learning styles, as well as students who may benefit from structure, low student/teacher ratios and creative teaching strategies. Successful coursework leads to a Maryland high school diploma. WRUS is approved as a nonpublic education program: secondary school, grades 9-12, Certificate No. 3840.

We are located in the Eastern Shore Higher Education Center on the campus of Chesapeake College in scenic Wye Mills, Maryland at the intersection of Routes 50 and 213. Our students enjoy the benefits of dual enrollment, athletic facilities, a dramatic arts venue and Learning Resource Center.

Just 15 minutes from the Bay Bridge, we offer a daily shuttle bus service between our campus and various stops in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

Wye River Upper School is a 501(c) 3 corporation.
